Direct Cosmetic Bonding

Overview

Direct dental bonding is Dr. Kaltchev’s passion. This technique allows for creative restoration while preserving the tooth structure. Direct bonding is suitable for all ages and is used to restore chipped and misshaped teeth; close spaces; repair teeth with caries and cervical erosion; immobilize teeth; and change the entire bite. It is usually a one-appointment procedure during which composite material is bonded directly to the tooth.

Our Approach

Restorations of fractured or chipped teeth

Direct cosmetic bonding is the most appropriate way to restore minor to moderate chipping on a front tooth. The key to success is the combination of different types of composite materials, such as opaquers, tints, and highly polishable composites, to create the most aesthetic and long-lasting result.

Bonding for adolescents

An increasing number of young patients (ages 8-21) present with different stages of tooth wear. This is the best and most cost-effective way to restore worn teeth in adolescents. Restoring the original size of the teeth improves aesthetics and speech, protects teeth from further wear and destruction, and increases self-esteem. This technique allows for any repairs or modifications later in life, with each additional repair looking like the initial restoration.

Testimonials

The reason I had an appointment with BK Dental was to have four teeth bonded. The staff was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable. I was given Novocain in three different areas of my mouth. Dr. Kaltchev administered these shots and I felt no pain. Dr. Kaltchev and his assistant, Laura, proceeded to complete the bonding procedure. I was very pleased with the outcome, as well as being able to have all the bonding completed in one office visit.

Feel I'm in good hands. Really wouldn't want to go anywhere else. The bonding looks great.

I had some bonding done on a chipped front tooth. The work was done in less than an hour. I couldn't imagine that it would ever look like a real tooth again. Dr. Kaltchev did an excellent job repairing my broken tooth. I'm not afraid of showing off my smile. My family and friends complimented on how well the work was done. Thanks again!
